| Local HOPE tax |
|
Most members had no idea that their local congregation was paying to HOPE
a 4% share of its weekly revenues. We were under the impression that
our “regular contribution” was for the local functioning of the
church. We were also under the impression that we were already
giving to HOPE with our annual fundraising events, so most found it quite
surprising to know that we were regularly supporting HOPE in our weekly
“regular contribution”, as well as in our “contribution for the
poor”. As
more details become available, this page will document this 4% HOPE tax.
